Sweet Shea

Yesterday morning I woke up when Shea was crawling into bed for early morning cuddles. I love this time when they are just waking up and snuggle right in to get warm. She was tickling my arm gently and looked up at me from time to time. We had been like that for about 5 minutes when she looked at me and said, "Mom, I'm trying to make you pretty, but I just can't!"
Thank you Shea. I love you too.

Really I don't know what she was talking about because normally I wake up magazine ready with silky-toss-to-the-side hair, mysterious eyes, and full lip gloss pout. Huh, I guess this must have been an off day. . .

Excuse me for now, I have to go stop Will from gnawing on the couch. Again.

*HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHEA*

So no matter how many threats I gave Shea she still decided to go ahead and turn three today.

Sigh*
My problem is, what do I get a kid who out of all the Christmas presents she was spoiled with , she prefers a few Strawberry Shortcake refridgerator magnets? Those entertain her for hours. KIDS!
And c'mon, the kid wants a birthday cake! Ugh. It's like she's not even considering my waistline. After all the yummy treats we received from neighbors ( which it was my neighborly duty to try them all) I feel not unlike a cow. A happy one though. Like the one's on the cheese commercials. But that's what New Years resolutions are about right?

***Happy Birthday Shea!***

By the way. . . . has anyone seen my keys?

Day after Christmas

We had an awesome Christmas. No worries, I was able to find the living room floor hours later. . And a Christmas miracle: Shea was reunited with Bear on Christmas eve!
This is a picture of Pete while I cleaned the Christmas mess.

We spent all morning digging out our driveway from the awesome storm that blew last night. I've always said there's nothing better than waking up to twelve inches of snow in the morning. But it's okay because we just bought a new snow shovel and I've been aching to try it out. This is what Pete did while I shoveled:

Isn't he sweet?

MISSING!

Dirty slimy overly loved best friend. Please call with any info!

Myths and Laundry

I don't know about anybody else, but I've been spending the freezing cold snowy hours tucked in at home trying to prove the myth that the bottom of the laundry basket DOES exist. 3 days into it and I'm starting to believe it's just a vicious vicious lie.

Recent pics

Here's some pics of Madisen's birthday party. She had so much fun. I had a lot of fun with the Tinkerbell theme, and making up games, but I definitely slept good that night :). Unfortunately in the group photo, I was able to get a good shot of everyone but the birthday girl. That's Uncle Adams teeth in the background of the girls pic. Ha ha!

3 More Sleeps

Yay! 3 more sleeps until Christmas!
